                                               Foundation

 The College began functioning modestly in 1961 in a school building of the Andhra Education Society at Rouse Avenue, New Delhi, with 271 students and 13 Faculty members.The foundation stone of the present campus of the college was laid on 20 August 1961, by Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President of India(then Vice-President of India). It moved into this newly constructed campus located at Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi on 25 August 1969. In 1985 another floor was added to the double storey science block on the occasion of the college's silver jubilee

                                                                               ABOUT THE COLLEGE

    Sri Venkateswara College was the visionary realization of the spirited vision and dream of three stalwarts in the public domain Smt. Durga Bai Deshmukh, Dr. K.L. Rao and Dr. C. Anna Rao. Fired with the zeal of promoting the cause of education,  the college was set up at New Delhi under the benign auspices of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (T.T.D.) in 1961.

    The foundation stone for the construction of a full fledged college building in the spacious site of nearly 15 acres provided at Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi, was laid on 20th August'1961 appropriately and auspiciously by Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, India's outstanding teacher, scholar and statesman.
